When the power is turned on, if the power indicator is off, the industrial display is blank, and other components have no response at this time, then most people will immediately think whether the power supply is out of order, but in fact, this situation will also occur if the motherboard is broken.
In the industrial tablet PC, the startup of the industrial tablet PC requires a startup device. Generally speaking, this device is on the motherboard, which mainly has a startup capacitor. If this capacitor is damaged, nothing will happen. Although this capacitor is very small, it is easy to find: pick up the motherboard and take a closer look. You will find an iron electrolytic capacitor, which is usually surrounded by a metal wire. With such obvious characteristics, it should be easy to find. The solution is to replace a good capacitor. This kind of problem is relatively common. I have two friends who couldn't start the machine because of this problem. One had to go to the after-sales department of the industrial tablet computer manufacturer because the warranty period had expired, and that was to change the capacitor.


There is also the interface problem of the motherboard. Because there are many accessories to be connected to the motherboard, if an interface is broken, it means that the accessory is not available, and it will not start. For example, if there is a problem with the AGP slot of the motherboard, it may not be able to start. In fact, this problem is strictly not to be attributed to the inability to start, it may have been started, but it cannot be displayed, so I still attribute it to this aspect. There are many such problems in the use of industrial tablet computers. The AGP slot is very loose. The golden finger of the graphics card cannot contact the contact points in the slot, so there is no way to display it. After re-inserting a few times, find the correct position. . There is also a problem with the IDE interface, so that the hard disk cannot be detected at all, let alone enter the system.
In addition, there is the problem of the memory slot. When you turn on the computer, the speaker in the main unit emits a "di, di" sound, and there is no reflection from other components. Broken, but for now we don't consider memory for the time being. There are other interfaces, such as the CPU interface, which I will not elaborate here. What matters on the motherboard is the chip. General non-integrated motherboards have two chips, one is the Southbridge chip, and the other is the Northbridge chip. In the traditional sense, the main task of Northbridge is to serve as the main interface for CPU and system exchange, with the memory controller function being important. In addition, North Bridge is also responsible for communicating with South Bridge. The functions of the South Bridge are diverse, and can include disk controllers, audio synthesis, Ethernet controllers, and I / O interfaces that we often contact. If the Northbridge chip is broken, there will be problems with the main interface between the CPU and the system, and then the CPU will not work on the industrial tablet. Since the central processor is not available, it is conceivable whether it can be started, and at the same time the memory control function is lost. The industrial tablet computer does not have the support of two major components. Where is the display? Once the Southbridge chip has a problem, the industrial tablet computer also loses the disk controller function, which is no different from the absence of a hard disk. You can see how important these two chips are! If these two chips are burned, it will be a fatal injury. There is no way to repair them at the industrial tablet repair point unless they are returned to the original factory for repair. It is even worse if it is an integrated motherboard, because it has only one chip, and if it is broken, the problem is more serious than the ordinary motherboard. Therefore, when installing or using, we must pay attention to these details to avoid unnecessary losses.
