The protection level of industrial tablets is IP**. The former is the dust-proof grade, the latter is the waterproof grade. The highest dust-proof grade is 6. The highest water-proof grade is 8.

No special protection for people or objects outside.

1: Prevent solid objects larger than 50mm from intruding into the body (e.g. palms) and accidentally touching the parts inside the lamps and lanterns. To prevent the invasion of larger size (diameter greater than 50 mm).

2: prevent solid objects larger than 12mm from intruding, and prevent human fingers from contacting parts inside the luminaire from intruding of medium-sized (12mm diameter) foreign objects.

3: Prevent solid objects larger than 2.5mm from intruding into parts of lamps and lanterns by means of tools, wires or similar small details with diameters or thicknesses greater than 2.5mm.

4: Prevent solid objects larger than 1.0 mm from intruding into parts of lamps and lanterns by means of tools, wires or similar small details with diameters or thicknesses greater than 1.0 mm.

5: Dust-proof completely prevents foreign objects from intruding, although it can not completely prevent dust from entering, but the amount of dust intruded will not affect the normal work of lamps and lanterns.

6: Dust-proof completely prevents foreign matter from intruding, and can completely prevent dust from entering.

0: No protection, no protection.

1: Prevent dripping water from penetrating into vertical dripping water (e.g. condensate) without harmful effects on lamps and lanterns.

2: When the inclination is 15 degrees, the dripping water can still prevent the intrusion of the lamp. When the lamp inclines from vertical to 15 degrees, the dripping water will not cause harmful effects on the lamp.

3: Prevent sprinkled water from intruding into rainproof, or prevent water from entering lamps and lanterns at angles less than 60 degrees perpendicular.

4: Prevent splashing water from intruding into lamps and lanterns to cause damage.

5: Prevent the water from spraying into the lamps and lanterns, and prevent the water from spraying from each direction from entering the lamps and lanterns.

6: Prevent the invasion of big waves on the deck lamps and lanterns, prevent the damage caused by the invasion of big waves.

7: Prevent water intrusion into lamps and lanterns when they are immersed in water for a certain time or under a certain water pressure standard to ensure that they are not damaged by water inflow.

8: Prevent water intrusion into lamps and lanterns from sinking indefinitely under specified water pressure to ensure that no damage is caused by water inflow.

In addition to the above two digits, there are two optional letters:

Supplementary letters: special supplementary information

H: High Voltage Equipment

M: Sample operation during waterproof test

S: Samples are stationary during waterproofing tests

It can be seen that the requirements of industrial tablets are much higher than those of commercial tablets. Another feature of industrial tablets is that most of them are used together with configuration software to achieve industrial control.
