In the field of industrial applications, industrial tablet computers and embedded fanless industrial computers are gaining momentum. These products belong to one kind of electronic computers. RAM (operation memory) and ROM (storage memory) are also very important for the performance of the embedded fanless industrial computer. RAM (running memory) stores data through some kind of capacitor (DRAM, SRAM or RRAM). Data disappears immediately after power failure, but data throughput speed is very fast. ROM is a kind of memory that can save data and provide quick access when needed after power failure. We will not go into it here. The industrial tablet computer usually uses a kind of storage medium called NAND, such as SSD, U disk and SD card. The traditional storage medium also includes mechanical hard disk (HHD), that is, the traditional optical disk storage, which can keep the stored data not lost after power failure, and can be used for data storage.

Therefore, in terms of environmental adaptability, industrial computers will be better than commercial computers.

Secondly, in terms of the intensity of work, because to keep working at all times, the requirements for heat dissipation and hardware are relatively high, and commercial computers are also slightly inadequate in this respect. Industrial tablets, on the other hand, can maintain good heat dissipation and work continuously for a long time.

Therefore, in view of the above, embedded industrial tablet computers are more suitable for the Internet of things than commercial computers.
